Taproom closure and a shift to online ordering

I received a phone call from the Lemoore Chamber of Commerce on Sunday, 3/15, advising us of the Governor of California’s firm request that brewery taprooms temporarily close in an effort to reduce the exposure of COVID-19 to the population.

After we announced our decision to comply on social media, we received an outpouring of support and also some messages expressing disappointment or suggestions to stay open. I thank everyone that is supporting us at this time and we do completely understand everyone’s disappointment. Trust me, I am just as disappointed as you are and it was very difficult to type up the social media announcement stating we would be closing with no end date in sight.

This is a challenging time for everyone and we want to contribute in any way we can to the protection of public health and safety. We are optimistic that this mandate on social distancing and requests for self-quarantine will pass quickly and we can all get back to normal.

In the meantime, we are doing everything we can to bring some enjoyment to our customers. We have launched an online ordering website that will allow you to place a to-go order for a selection of our currently available beers. We will be offering some products in 16oz cans and 22oz bottles. As always, our Industry and Military/First Responders discounts will apply at this time.

Our brewery will be open from 6pm-9pm Wednesday through Saturday for people to come by and pick up their online orders.
We will not be filling any growlers at this time, unfortunately. We will also not be fulfilling any walk-in orders. Please be sure to order online and allow us 24 hours to fulfill your online order. This is to ensure we have enough stock on hand to provide order fulfillment.

Bird Street would like to thank everyone once again for their continued support and understanding regarding our decision during this time. We hope to see you here when regular taproom hours resume and in the mean time, we hope you enjoy Bird Street’s beer from the comfort of your home.

Cheers!
